Join us as we honor and celebrate the winter holidays of Chanukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and Winter Solstice. Our Spirit Journeys, both as a society and individuals, often contain a dual nature: the more serious spiritual element circumscribed in mystery and expressed through a mystical nature, and the lighter side of the holidays, found in the creative "imp.” Along with a performance of pieces from Benjamin Brittain's Ceremony of Carols, we will also bring you an arrangement of Silver Bells and a piece entitled Deck the Halls in 7/8, which is a rhythmic version of the holiday classic.

Exquisite Journey: Fierce Beauty

The March concert is presented in honor of Women"s History Month and will examine the journey of fear, chaos and even joy that comes with a life threatening illness. Our desire is to present the intensity and fierceness that the human spirit displays during these times. The centerpiece of the concert will be Diane Benjamin’s Where I Live: A Breast Cancer Oratorio. This sublime work brings together strings, percussion, choir, soloist and narrator in a stunning musical/spoken word offering that leads us through the uncertain journey of illness and recovery. The second half of the concert offers music that will be a celebration of the determination and resiliency of the human spirit. Plan now to be part of this very moving event.

We will close our season with our traditional concert about love and relationships. With music that covers a multitude of genres, we will present songs of love and relationships and the often ensuing chaos each one brings.
