The 10th of Sept

Day after day, it seems to me we follow the same ritual.  We get up, go to work, go home, party, spend time with family or a lover and then we die.  Some of us have children and some don't.  But, in all we still follow the same MO with our lives. 

On my facebook, I saw pictures of a boy I went to school with.  Now, he is a man with a girlfriend.  He works and it seems he has a child.  When I look back on my childhood,  I never that about working, owning a house, owning a car, having a girlfriend or anything of that sort because I was kid.  Now, with time passing by, I'm now an adult. 

But, what makes you into an adult? Family, kids, age, career or other.  I don't know.  I still feel like a kid with responsibilities. 

It's just so funny to see people you went to school with and now they have families and responsibilities of their own, as if we are now becoming our parents.

We have to worry about a mortgage, bills, work and other things, instead of finding the new Metallica cd, getting a computer, the latest video game, doing good in school and does he or she likes me. 

Back in the 80's and 90's, life for a kid was so simple and innocent.  Now, a child have to go through so much drama just to get out of the bed in the morning. 

What happen to the simple times? Will they return?  I don't think so.  I don't have any kids, but I would like one.  My parents think differently since I'm gay. But, I would love to have a child, a wife and a happy home.  But, when I think of my life as a kid, I ask myself "Where have the time gone? How did I get here?" 

It's so funny.  And that's life.  Live life without any regrets.  And just be happy.  You only live once so live it right. 

Looking at people who I went to High School with, is amazing to see because we are now adults and have our own lives.  We may have done things differently, but we are still striving to live the best way we can.
