Are you that Mighty Good Man?

Rick Sanchez is still apologizing.

Interviewed on ABC's Good Morning America a week after being fired from his hosting job at CNN, Sanchez said he was sorry for calling Jon Stewart a bigot and other rants insinuating that his CNN bosses were part of a Jewish group controlling the media.

Sanchez explained that he was tired when he made the Sept. 30 satellite radio interview, and blamed his impatience on his daughter's softball game, that he ``desperately'' wanted to attend.

``I said some things I shouldn't have said. They were wrong. Not only were they wrong, they were offensive... I take full responsibility.''

The Cuban-born former Miami anchor has no beef with Stewart or with his old employer, though Sanchez seemed to still be smarting.

``Is that really fair? Why is it always me?'' he said, regarding Stewart's personal attacks on The Daily Show.

Sanchez also brought up the race card, referring to the ``landscape'' of cable-news prime-time hosts: ``There's not a single Hispanic, a single Asian-American, or a single African-American,'' he said.

Sanchez, who was had worked at CNN since 2004, was host of the two-hour Rick's List on CNN's afternoon lineup.

On Wednesday, he apologized for ``inartful [sic] comments'' and released a statement saying he had apologized to Stewart.

Sanchez released yet another statement Friday regarding his first national TV interview:

``I want to thank ABC, the entire staff and crew at Good Morning America for giving me the chance to apologize on national television and explain my inappropriate comments. The questions were fair, direct and well thought out. Today was a step in an ongoing process as I repair my reputation with viewers, my colleagues and people I offended. Again, I am sorry.''
