Aliya Leigh Is Recognized as a Spokesperson for the GLBT Youth

PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - January 5, 2011) - In the interview with Echo Magazine,

Aliya Leigh mentions how she came out to her parents and the consequences she
suffered from them and her childhood religion.

Aliya Leigh gave an interview about God and her sexuality. As a child, she was
raised a Jehovah's Witness, but knew she was gay. Knowing this, she tried to
commit suicide because she knew her sexuality was a sickness in God's eyes.

For years, she denied her sexuality and tried to obey her bible principles.
During these years, she felt like a zombie walking in society. With the help
from friends, she was able to accept herself and her sexuality -- the way God
made her.

Aliya Leigh is a spokesperson for teenagers who are part of the GLBT community
and tries to help them in any way she can. She knows what they are going
through and doesn't want them to suffer like she did as a teenager.

The article will be featured in the January 6 edition of Echo Magazine.
